Peer Critics

Calling this little wood board finished. It started an interesting conversation among some peer critics. I liked hearing what they saw and thinking of what I thought it was and what I wanted to further paint in the foreground.

It’s an early early early morning ocean scene with a wave cutting across the lower middle slightly curved. I still see it but you wouldn’t believe what other people said.

Funny thing was I was using this wood board as a place to mix colors. This is purple, a dark blue grey, white, and red acrylic paint. I threw in some secret fluorescent pink on a separate painting and a dot of it landed on the wood board. So I shaped it into a sun. A buddy who goes by peteTheArtist said he sees a vehicle like a space ship traveling through some interesting interstellar event that is going to make you feel an intense pleasure, but I often find myself wanting to try whatever peteTheArtist eats for dinner.
